Vegan French Toast!
1/2 cup of warm water
4 tbsps of chia seeds
2 tbsps of ground flax seeds
3 tbsps of cinnamon, or to taste
2 tbsps of oatmeal
2 slices of your favorite bread
1 tbsp of vegetable oil, or earth balance vegan butter
Mix seeds into water and let sit for 10 minutes, the perfect amount of time to make a breakfast smoothie! … or to clean last night’s dishes…
Add oatmeal and cinnamon and stir around around around
In a large frying pan, heat oil or butter on med - high heat
Pour seed mixture onto a plate and dip bread into mixture, the seeds and oats rival sometimes so you may need to scoop it up with a spoon and press it into the bread, as they may be rebelling after being forced together…
Place soaked bread slices and fry until golden, this may take a little while so be patient!
Serve with maple syrup and enjoy :)
